Lydia Wharf
Senior Producer
Lydia is an Independent Producer. An alumnus of the Royal Ballet School and Rambert School, Lydia danced with Michael Clark Company before gaining a first class BAHons in Dance Studies from Roehampton Institute. A wealth of roles within the dance sector have led her to specialise in practices of care, access and inclusivity as an independent Producer, and she works directly with artists to support the development of new work for stages, screens, outdoor places and civic spaces. Over the past 10 years, Lydia has worked with Julie Cunningham & Company, BirdGang Ltd, Stanley Arts, Stuart Waters, Rhiannon Faith Company, and many more. Lydia contributes features and reviews for Springback Magazine and Gramilano and at events across Europe; she was Writer in Residence at Moving Bodies festival in Varna in 2023 and Tanec Praha in 2024, and co-curated programmes for Czech Dance Platform and the Commons Festival at Stanley Arts in 2024 and 2025.
