Alex is a freelance dance artist originally from Bristol. He completed his dance training at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and graduated with a first class degree. Following this, he toured internationally with VERVE, performing works by Sita Ostheimer, Alesandra Seutin and Akram Khan. 

Alex’s professional performance career includes multidisciplinary work in theatre, on screen and in unconventional spaces. He has worked with the likes of Uchenna Dance, James Cousins Company, Shaper/Caper, Tom Dale Company, Extended Play and Gary Clarke Company. His commercial credits include Rosalia & (La)Horde at the Brit Awards, Damien Jalet and Corey Baker. 

More recently, Alex has started to choreograph his own work. He is inspired by people, music and coming of age within an urban landscape. He mixes this with high energy physicality driven from set form and a raw spirit. 

Alex joined Cathy Waller Company in 2026.
